Subject: Important Update Regarding COVID-19 at Our Facility

Dear Residents and Families,

We are writing to inform you of recent developments regarding COVID-19 within our facility.

We currently have 5 cases of COVID-19 among our residents and 2 among our staff. The cases are located on the 2nd and 4th floors. These cases were identified through testing conducted when 1 employee on the unit developed mild symptoms.

We want to assure you that we are taking all necessary steps to manage the situation and protect the health and safety of our residents and staff. Our team is following the guidance from local health authorities and following all recommended guidelines to prevent further spread of the virus. This includes increased cleaning and disinfection procedures, isolation of affected individuals, and offering Covid-19 vaccination to residents.

The following guidance is for those who wish to visit residents who have tested positive or recently exposed to the virus.

Before Your Visit: Monitor Your Health – If you have any symptoms of COVID-19 or have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive, please postpone your visit.

During Your Visit: Wear a Mask – Masks should be worn at all times during your visit. If you need a mask, one will be provided for you.

Limit Contact: Avoid hugging, shaking hands, or other physical contact.

After Your Visit-Monitor Your Health: Watch for symptoms of COVID-19 in the days following your visit. If you develop symptoms, please get tested and inform us immediately. We encourage all residents and their families to continue following public health advice, including wearing masks, practicing good hand hygiene, being vaccinated and maintaining physical distance where possible.
